Barbara Waddell Burton

Services for Barbara Waddell Burton, 52, of Thomasville, are at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at Allen and Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Brent Welch will officiate and interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Burton passed away Jan. 18 at her residence. Born, Nov. 12, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Alpha Raymond and Mary Bopst Waddell of Ocala, Fla., who survive. On Sept. 16, 2005, in Thomasville, she married Glenn Burton who also survives. She was a school bus driver for 16 years and she loved her kids. Other survivors include children, Stacey Rigdon and husband, Jamie of Samnorwood, Texas, Christopher Moore and wife, Rebecca of Americus, Tracey Hall and husband, Cory of Thomasville and Lacey Moore of Thomasville; grandchildren, Wesley Rigdon, Chandler Rigdon, Hunter Rigdon, Matthew Rigdon, Chase Rigdon, Grayson Rigdon, Sherilynn Rigdon, Landon Hall, Taylor Blackwell and Cole Blackwell; sister, Beverly Sever of Ocala, Fla.; nephews, Josh Tidwell and J.W. Tidwell, both of Ocala, Fla., Brennan Horner and Matthew Horner both of Thomasville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sheri Horner and husband, Bob of Thomasville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center, 116 Mimosa Drive, Thomasville, Ga. 31792.
