Diann Groover Kelley

Graveside services for Diann Groover Kelley, 72 of Marietta will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday April 7, 2021 at Boston City Cemetery. Rev. Tim Phillips will officiate. Diann passed away peacefully on April 5, 2021 in Boston, Ga. surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with cancer. Born February 5, 1949 in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Samuel D. Groover, Jr and Gwendolyn Sherrod Groover. She was married to Bob Kelley, who survives. She retired from Eastern Airlines and American Express. She was a loving wife, sister, daughter, mother and friend. She loved being with friends and family; enjoyed traveling, visiting new places and experiencing the world. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all types of books. Other survivors include her brother, Danny Groover of Boston; cousins, James Groover (Debbie) and Morgan; step-mother June Groover; step-sister Julie Lawrence; nieces and nephews, Kristy Howell (Brent), Kohen Howell, Raelee Howell, Lucy Kate Howell, Keith Williams (Jenna), Wade Williams, Sophie Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Bradley Clark. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Boston Cemetery, PO Box 147, Boston, Ga 31626.
