Graveside services for Earl D. Moore will be held at Zion Hill Cemetery, Cartersville, Ga. on Tuesday April 13, 2021 at 2:00PM. Earl passed away on April 9, 2021 at Camellia Gardens in Thomasville, GA. Born September 5, 1931, he was the son of the late Lee T. Moore and Minnie M. Moore. He was married to Lula Bell Moore, who has preceded him in death, on January 20, 1951 in Smyrna, GA. Earl served as a corporal in the U.S. Army medical corps during the Korean conflict where he received the Germany Occupation medal and the National Defense Service medal. He also owned several insurance agencies and a real estate agency. Earl also served on the Bartow County Board of Education during the desegregation of the state, helping to establish racial equality in the school system. Additionally, he served on the Board of Directors of the Southwest Georgia Bank in Moultrie, GA and served in numerous lay ministry positions in the Church of God denomination. He is survived by his daughters Joan Ball (Mark) of Moultrie, GA, and Kaye Campbell (Tom) of Cleveland, TN; Daughter-in law Debbie Moore of Alpharetta, GA; Grandchildren Chris Moore (Jennifer), Rebekah Ball, Jonathan Ball, Daniel Ball, Meghan Sullivan (Matthew), Rachel Cain (Travis); Great Grandchildren Asa Ball, Noah Ball, Ellie Sullivan, and Link Sullivan; brothers Don Moore and Eugene Moore (Onzell); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula, son, Dean Moore, great-grandson Liam Sullivan, and brothers Troy Moore and Ardell Moore.
