Eddie Lucky Gay

Funeral services for Eddie (Lucky) Gay, 62, of Thomasville, will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. His son, John Gay will be officiating and interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Gay passed away on November 26, 2015 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Born November 29, 1952, he was the son of the late Edward William Gay, Sr. and Evelyn Swain Gay. He was married to Debra Gay, who survives. He was a 1972 graduate of Central High School. Mr. Gay previously worked as the Zamboni driver for the Tiger Sharks and at the Leon County School Board in maintenance. Currently, he was maintenance supervisor at Peak Campus. Other survivors include daughters, Edi Gay and husband Robert Morris of Tallahassee and Eve Gay and husband Jhon Alvarez of Thomasville; and son John Edward Gay and wife Kathryn of Tallahassee; grandchildren Andrew, Loren, Max, Natalie, Luke, Kimberly, Emily, John Daniel, Molly, Caroline, Austin and Isabella; and brother Michael Gay of Lilburn, Georgia; and half sister Donna Taylor. He was preceded in death by his twin boys James and Joseph Gay, sisters Brenda Davis and Debra Ross and grandchild Josiah Alvarez. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.
