Services for Eurice Thigpen Clark, 95, of Thomasville, are at 3 p.m., Sunday, November 23, 2008, at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner, Rev. Dr. Dan Spencer and Rev. Rick Jordan will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Clark passed away peacefully on November 20, 2008, surrounded by her four children. Born May 18, 1913, in Autryville, of Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late William Lee "W.L." and Mary Etta Crosby Thigpen. On June 22, 1933, in Thomasville, she married Andrew Branson Clark, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include children, Mary Etta Clark Sanders and husband, Drayton of Dalton, Andrew B. Clark, III, and wife, Alice Faye of Thomasville, William L. Clark and wife, Joyce of Thomasville and Jane Clark Lewis of Thomasville; grandchildren, Clark Sanders and wife, Janet of Jacksonville, Fla., Anne Sanders Finn and husband, Tom of Hilton Head, S.C., Sharon Johnson and husband, Jeff of Thomasville, Andrew William Clark and wife, Melissa of Thomasville, Michael L. Clark and wife, Becky of Coolidge and John R. Clark and wife, Sarah of Thomasville; great-grandchildren, Evan Sanders, Ian Sanders, Justin Finn, Amelia Finn, Amberlyn Clark, Chase Clark , Madison Clark, Tyler Clark, Julia Johnson, Danielle Clark, Austin Branson Clark and Joseph R. Clark; sister, Mary Julia Hudson of Thomasville; and her loving and faithful caregivers, LaShundra Jones, Annie Leaks, Lyshonda Wyche and Valerie Jones. Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl Thigpen; and a brother, Dennis L. Thigpen. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2790, Thomasville, GA. 31799.
