Graveside services for Harmon Long, Jr. of Boston are at 10:00 AM on Saturday August 17, 2019 at Boston City Cemetery. The Reverend David Douglas will officiate. Mr. Long died August 15, 2019 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born August 14, 1930 in Barwick, Georgia, he was the son of the late Harmon Long, Sr. and Annie Waters Long. He was married to Ruby L. Nichols Long who preceded him in death. Mr. Long was a member of Summerhill Baptist Church. He worked as a machinist for Firestone, Foam X, Coats and Clark, and Flowers Bakery. He loved raising his children and working to provide for them. He is survived by his children Timothy Long of Boston, Teresa Long McCorkle of Boston, and Dexter Long (Ingelise) of Pavo, Ga; grandchildren Brian McCorkle (Michele), Brandy McCorkle, Jackie Fielding, Ashley Morris (Keith Baker), Logan Long, Thomas Long, Tyler Long (Bekah), Kyle Long (Heather); great grandchildren William McCorkle, Lee McCorkle, Mickey Moore, Kizzy Baker, Colt Morris, Garrett Long, Perry Long, Griffyn Long, and Lynleigh Long and his beloved dog, Maggie.
