James (Jimmy) Lamar Kierce Jr.

Services for James (Jimmy) Lamar Kierce, Jr., 74, of Ochlocknee are at 3:00pm on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church where he was a member. Charles Carter and the Rev. Gary Folds will officiate and interment will be at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Kierce died February 10, 2017 at his residence. Born February 8, 1943 in Grady Co., GA, he was the son of the late James Lamar and Daisy Collins Kierce. On August 24, 1963 in Ochlocknee, GA he married Mary Suzanne Collier Kierce who survives. Mr. Kierce was retired from Dixie Seed Farmers Favorite and and had worked for B & J of Meigs. Other survivors include son, Michael Lamar Kierce of Ochlocknee, brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Joan Turner Kierce of Valdosta, GA, sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Gerard Turner of Ochlocknee, Darlene and Frank SanFilippo of Naples, FL, granddaughter, Taylor Miranda Kierce Kinsey and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3087 Egg & Butter Rd. N, Ochlocknee, GA 31773. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM on Sunday at the church.
