James Carlton Parrish

Graveside services for James Carlton Parrish, 85, of Thomasville will be 3:00PM, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Tennessee Street. Dr. Jimmy Clanton will officiate. Mr. Parrish died on January 10, 2018 in Thomasville. Born August 18, 1932 in Adel, he was the son of the late Alvin and Mae Griffiths Parrish. He was married to Jeanette C. Brinson Parrish, who preceded him in death. Mr. Parrish retired from Sunnyland and was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church. Other survivors include his children, Steve Parrish and wife Piper of Monticello, Florida, John Parrish and wife Kathryn of Thomasville, Ronnie Parrish and wife Debbie of Boston, Cindy McDuffie and husband Glen of Tallahassee, Florida and Rusty Parrish and wife Donna of Cumming, Georgia; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Rebecca McDuffie. The family will receive friends 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the funeral home.
