Services for Mary Binegar Lewis of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Barnett?s Creek Baptist Church where she was a member. The Rev. Dr. Julian Pipkin and the Rev. Leon VanLandingham will officiate and interment will be in Barnett?s Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Lewis died April 6, at her residence. Born October 16, 1919 in Delaware County, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Roscoe and Eva Bell Johnson Binegar. On April 19, 1947 in DeSoto, Indiana she married Page Lewis who preceded her in death on March 30, 1995. She was the retired owner of Mary?s Ceramics. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Buffington, daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn Susie and Max Allen all of Cairo, GA., stepdaughters and husbands, Martha and Vernon Quinton of Eaton, Indiana and Rachel and Robert Hammons of New Jersey, sister, Donna Cheney of Thomasville, grandchildren, Mandy Matthews, Lee Buffington, Debbie Groves, Rhonda Dailey, Michelle Allen, Brian Allen, eleven step-grandchildren, one great grandchild, a number of step-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Barnett?s Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 564 Stewart Road, Thomasville, GA, 31792. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9PM on Friday.
