Peggy Rose Hendricks

Services for Peggy Rose Hendricks will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Pineland Baptist Church. Rev. Rickey Whitley and Pastor Jason Puckett will officiate. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hendricks passed away on August 21st, 2019. Born on November 18th, 1942 in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Annie Grace Sloan. Peggy was a graduate of Thomasville High School. On October 7th, 1961, she married the late Bobby Hendricks in Thomasville. She was the owner of Bob and Jeff’s IGA for years, where she was an iconic business woman, kind and generous. She loved to read, travel, and sometimes fish. Peggy looked forward to helping at Pineland Baptist Church, where she was a member. Not only was she a loving mother and grandmother, she cherished her time with each of them. As her family we thank our Heavenly Father for our time with her and we celebrate her life. She is survived by her children, Jeff Hendricks of Thomasville, GA, Kathy Mitchell of Thomasville, GA; brother, Bob Sloan of Cairo, GA, Joe Sloan of Albany, GA, Wendell Sloan of Gainesville, Florida, Mike Sloan of Cairo, GA; sister, Annie Will Miller of Atlanta, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jeffery Hendricks, Bret Hendricks, Bob Hendricks, Sara Mitchell and Katalina Hendricks. Mrs. Hendricks was preceded in death by sisters, Jackie Sherrod and Emogene Vinson. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
