Services for Robert Joseph Bobby Potts of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at East Side Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Tim Robson and the Rev. Neal Hager will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chris Jones, Kenneth Asbell, Mike Hatcher, Ray Council, Greg Potts and Glenn Eaton. Honorary pallbearers are friends and nephews. Mr. Potts died August 14 in Camilla. Born December 11, 1944 in Mitchell Co., GA he was the son of the late Frank Tucker and Elizabeth Page Potts. He was a meat hanger at Sunnyland Packing Company. Survivors include sisters, Tennyson Jones Bishop, Madeline Eaton, Sue Potts all of Thomasville, Christine Newton, Frances Hatcher both of Camilla, sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Steve Scully of Lizella, GA, Janice and Eddie Smith of Cairo, brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Mary Potts of Lynn Haven, FL, Earl and Sherrill Potts of Albany, GA and Thad and Elizabeth Potts of Eastman, GA. Brothers, Oliver Potts and B. L. Potts, preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia, 2951 Flowers Road South, Suite 211, Atlanta, GA 30341-4146 or to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Drive, Thomasville, GA 31792.
