Services for Ruth Maderia Brice of Barwick, GA are at 2:00PM on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Harmony Primitive Baptist Church in Barwick. The Elder Phillip Howell will officiate and interment will be in Harmony Cemetery. Ms. Brice died Mar. 25 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, GA. Born August 15, 1910 in Barwick she was the daughter of the late Charley Oscar and Effie Eulola Brice. She was the 3rd child of 11 children. She was an active elementary school teacher and taught school approximately 40 years retiring from Colquitt County Schools in 1975. She was a member of Harmony Primitive Baptist Church since June 1940. Survivors include a sister, Charley Mae Miller, of Barwick, nieces, Joann Ermel of Nederland, TX, Tina Eaton of Atlanta, GA, Maderia Glenn of Thomasville, GA, nephew, Glenn Chokanis of Longwood, FL and a number of great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 9 of her 10 siblings. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM on Wednesday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
