Services for Walter Cleveland Waters of Pavo are at 4:00PM on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Sherman Hall and the Rev. Larry Harris will officiate and interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery in Pavo. Mr. Waters died Sept. 11 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born December 19, 1943 in Thomas Co., GA he was the son of the late Walter Griff and Laura Swymer Waters. On March 8, 1963 in Loris, SC he married Martha Ann Blanton Waters who survives. He was a truck driver for Flowers Industries and a member of Ione Methodist Church in Pavo. Other survivors include daughter, Gwen Waters of Pavo, daughter and friend, Wally Ann Drew and Jim Hall of Coolidge, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Walter Dargin and Patty Waters of Pavo; brother, James Barry Waters of Pavo, sisters and brothers-in-law, Julie Ann and Lee Carroll of Ashboro, NC, Sandra W. and Jack Hart of Pavo, brother, Thomas Edward Waters of Quitman, GA and step-grandchildren, Christy Sumner and Blake Sumner. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Inc., P.O. Box 1201, Albany, GA 31702 or Hospice of Southwest GA, 818 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, GA.
