Services for William Virgil Jones, Jr. of Ochlocknee are at 4:00PM on Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gary Holland will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Member of the American Legion will be honorary pallbearers. Mr. Jones died Feb. 5 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born December 19, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana he was the son of the late William V. and Margery Lane Jones. On May 12, 1956 in Franklin, Indiana he married Theresa Marie Stevens who survives. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of the American Legion in Ochlocknee and the National Rifle Association. Other survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, William V., III and Helen Jones, Timothy Mark and Debbie Jones all of Thomasville, daughter, Katherine Denise Jones, son, Brian Robert Jones both of Ochlocknee, grandchildren, Timothy Mark Jones, II, Katheryn Elizabeth Jones, Heather Renee Miller, Tiffany Shayne Simpson, Christina Rae Burns, Josh Taulbee, Eleni Mateo, Daniella Mateo, great grandchildren, Robert Miller, Scottie Miller, Kameron Miller, Devon Simpson, Brandon Burns and brother, John Paul Jones of Mt. Vernon, Washington. A son Kenneth Douglas Jones preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
