Graveside services for Calvin Lucious Pafford, Sr., 84, of Thomasville will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Sparks Cemetery in Cook Co., Georgia. Rev. Andy Daughtry will officiate. Mr. Pafford died on March 25, 2017 in Thomasville, Georgia. Born September 23, 1932 in Cook Co., Georgia, he was the son of the late Lessie Pafford, Sr. and Katie Lou McKinney Pafford. Mr. Pafford was a veteran of United States Army, serving in Korea during the Korean Conflict. His employment included Wainer Construction, Scott Construction and retirement from Sunnyland & Publix. He attended Valdosta State College and was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville. Mr. Pafford enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and spending time with his dog Norton. On June 21, 1952, he married Emma Jean Flanders Pafford who survives. Other survivors include daughters, Becky Saggus and her husband Edward of Valdosta, Georgia Jennifer Dewell and her husband Robert of Thomasville, Georgia a son Calvin L. Pafford, Jr. and his wife Michelle of San Francisco, California and grandchildren, Tiffany Saggus Mulligan and her husband Michael, Nathan Jenkins and his wife Adrianne and Amber Rahn and her husband Chris. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Jackson Mulligan, Jensen Rahn, Gabriel Rahn, Strawberry Grace Rahn, a sister Mary Lou Hart of Adel, Georgia and several nieces and nephews. Survivors also include sisters-in-law, Geneva Pafford of Maysville, Georgia, Mary Ruth Flanders of Sparks, Georgia and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hollis and Jimmie Lou Flanders of Tifton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Calvin Pafford and brothers, George Pafford and Lessie Pafford, Jr., and a brother in law Johnny Flanders.
