Doris Singleton

Services for Doris Taylor Singleton, 74 of Thomasville will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Jon Lett will officiate and interment will follow at Pelham City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Vernon Taylor, Michael Taylor, Anthony Taylor, Neal Taylor, Tracy Cobb and Terry Cobb. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Hickey, Benjy Crosby, Ashley Hickey, Christopher Crosby, Blake Singleton, Hailey Singleton, and Hunter Singleton. Mrs. Singleton passed away July 13 at Archbold Hospital. Born July 12, 1942 in Camilla, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Carl Taylor and Mary Elizabeth McKenzie Taylor. She was married to Gordon Singleton for 53 years, who survives. She was retired from Warners. She loved to fish and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Other survivors include her children, Tony Hickey and wife Robyn of Ochlocknee, Angie Hutto and husband Kenny of Ocilla and Donald Singleton of Boston; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Taylor and wife Marie of Ochlocknee and sisters, Eunice Cook of Boston and Elaine Taylor of Moultrie. She was preceded in death by her brother Darrell Taylor. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Friday, July 15 at the funeral home.
