Patricia Anne Bennett

Graveside services for Patricia Anne Patten Bennett, 82 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 10, 2017 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Oklahoma Street. Rev. Milton C. Gardner will officiate. Mrs. Bennett passed away November 7, 2017 at Archbold Hospital. Born August 10, 1935 in Cuthbert, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Patten and Frances Cripps Patten. On June 11, 1958 in Albany, GA, she married Carroll M. Bennett, who preceded her in death in 2008. Mrs. Bennett was a graduate of the University of Georgia where she attended on a music scholarship. She was a long time educator at Brookwood School, Thomasville City Schools and continued substituting after her retirement at Jerger School. She taught piano and participated in the Thomasville Follies for several years. She loved her family and enjoyed being called “Pat Pat “by her granddaughters. She is survived by her son Brad Bennett of Tallahassee, Florida and Todd Bennett and wife Gina of Thomasville; granddaughters Haley Bennett and Abbey Bennett; brother, Gilbert Patten of Gray, Georgia. Memorials may be made to Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center 919 S. Broad St Thomasville Ga 31792 or the Moffitt Cancer Center 12902 Magnolia Dr Tampa Fl 33612. Her family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Thursday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
