Services for Toombs Daniel James, 93, of Pavo are at 4:00PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Pavo Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Wade Bridges and the Rev. Larry Harris will officiate and interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Pavo. Mr. James passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. Born September 15, 1915 in Oakfield Georgia, he was the son of the late Charles R. James, Sr. and the late Alice Dupree James. He was married to Mary LoveMolly James who survives. Mr. James was a veteran of the United States Army and a mechanic with the Thomas County School System. He loved gardening, reading and was very active at the Pavo Baptist Church. Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Whit and Barbara James of Statesboro, GA, daughter, Ladie James of Pavo, grandchildren, Michael James, Jennifer and John Faison, Laura and Stacey Girardeau, great grandchildren, Jesse James, Andrew Girardeau, Jubilee Faison, Avery Girardeau and Judah Faison, brother, Oren C. Pat James of Sylvester, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Monday at the funeral home.
