William Gary Poulk

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Gary Poulk. He passed away October 29, 2023. He thoughtfully and generously donated his earthly body to science. He was born July 15, 1953 in Thomasville, Georgia where he grew up and attended Thomasville High School. His passion for being on the open road was fulfilled by a career as a professional truck driver for over 40 years. His journey took him to Nashville Tennessee where he lived for several years and later to Simpsonville, South Carolina, where he lived and later retired. However, this did not stop him from driving whenever he got a chance.
He was preceded in death by his father Alvin Eugene Poulk, his mother Fannie Mae Poulk and his brother Alvin Eugene Poulk Jr. He is survived by his loving partner Alison Dugon of Simpsonville, SC and his siblings, Sandy Kirkley of Marietta, GA, Richard Poulk (Beth) of Thomasville, GA; nieces, Talia King (Travis) of Marietta, GA, Stacy Wilson (Robert) of Thomasville, GA, Stephanie Simmons (Lance) of Thomasville, GA; nephews, Stephen Kirkley (Marsha) of Atlanta, GA, Samuel Poulk of Thomasville, GA.
