Funeral services for Bob Wyrick Sr, of Thomasville, will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at the Connection Church at 2123 Smith Ave. with Rev. Alfred Hays and Wade Glover officiating. Interment will be in Miccosukee Cemetery. Mr. Wyrick passed away on Friday May 3, 2019. Born on April 1, 1947 in Barwick, Ga., he was the son of the late Remer Joseph Wyrick and Nancy Elizabeth Collins Wyrick. Mr. Wyrick was retired as a Lieutenant and the Training Officer for the Thomasville Police Department after 30 years of service. He returned to the Thomasville Police Dept. in 2003 as a front Desk Officer where he was still currently working. Bob loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bee keeping and bird watching. He had a deep love and devotion to his family and enjoyed spending time with them in different ways. He enjoyed bee keeping with his son Patrick, taking long walks with his daughter Natalie and grand dog Charlee, having discussions about politics, science, and the weather with his son Bob Jr. and law enforcement topics with his daughter-in-law Dawn. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart where he was Kaitlyn’s biggest fan where she was involved in the Marching Band, and Camden who was his favorite fishing partner. Surviving is his wife Susan Long Wyrick of Thomasville; daughter Natalie Wyrick of Thomasville; son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Dawn Hurst of Thomasville; son Bob Wyrick Jr. of Montgomery, Al; grandchildren Kaitlyn Hurst of Thomasville and Camden Wyrick of Montgomery, Al; siblings Floyd Wyrick and wife Rachel of Tallahassee, Fl, Jerry Wyrick of Blountstown, Fl, Ernest Wyrick of Thomasville, Marguette Crispe of Orlando, Fl, and Faye Register and husband Huey of Monticello, Fl; numerous nieces and nephews.
