Services for Clelia Michelle ?Missy? Hickey, 40, of Boston, are at 4 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at First Baptist Church. Robert Benton, Charles Rehberg and Rev. Dan Spencer will officiate and interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens. She passed away Aug. 22 at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Fla. Born, April 6, 1970, in Tallahassee, Fla., she was the daughter of Charles V. and Janie Hyde Hickey of Boston, who survive. Missy grew up attending Dawson Street Baptist Church, where she learned to love the Lord and was saved and baptized as a young child. She was an active member and chose to participate in all activities offered to her. Her love for God was evident in her love for mission outreach. She began singing solos in church at the young age of three. It has often been said that she sang like an angel. Her witness to others was part of her mission. She graduated from Central High School and was a member of chorus and the drama club throughout middle and high school. Her passion in life was horses. She rode like the wind and loved to ride horses at the beach, riding to nearby Tallahassee, riding downtown Thomasville, barrel racing and just horsing around enjoying life. She was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church and the Deep Dixie Saddle Club. Other survivors include a son, Jared V. Hickey of Boston; maternal grandmother, Christine Lewis of Coolidge; several aunts, Geraldine Wilson, Doris Cox, Cleo Foster, June Brogdon and Rita Tucker. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, GA. 31792. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
