Graveside services for David Lewis Collins, 71 of Thomasville, GA will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Maryland Street. Rev. Gary Holland will officiate. Mr. Collins passed away July 4, 2012 in Thomasville, GA. Born January 30, 1941 in Brooks County, GA; he was the son of the late Lewis A Collins and Emma Ruth Collins. Mr. Collins was a self-employed contractor and also served in the Army Reserves. Mr. Collins was married to Sharon Anderson Collins, who survives. Other survivors include daughters and son-in-law Debi Collins Alderman Brent, Mandy Collins Long Marc, son and daughter-in-law David Dewayne Collins Darlene; sisters Jeri Collins Vick, Lillian Collins Dollar, and Linda Collins Stephenson; grandchildren, Martin John Slusher Chelsea, Melissa Slusher, Rebecca Ulrich Rick, Lyndsey Burgess Eddie, Olivia Alderman, Nealie Calhoun Randall, Brianna Long, and Collin Long; great-grandchildren, Arianne Slusher , Cooper Calhoun, Cayman Ulrich and Aidan Ulrich. He was preceded in death by brothers, Elbert Lee Collins and Andrew C Collins. The family will receive friend's 5-7 pm, Friday, July 6, 2012 at Allen & Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
