After an eight-month courtship, they were married on November 3, 1944, at the First Baptist Church in Brunswick, GA. The next day, Mr. Faircloth brought his new wife to Thomasville where he had accepted a position with a food distribution company. She was a life-long member of the Thomasville Camp of Gideons International Auxiliary and was supportive of her husband’s work in the collection and distribution of Bibles in the area. Mrs. Faircloth worked in alterations at Neel’s Department Store and Friedlander’s in downtown Thomasville. She retired from Southwestern State Hospital. She was a past member of the Briarcliff Garden Club and also the former Thomas County Home Demonstration Club. She especially enjoyed making twelve-layer chocolate cakes for church dinners, family reunions and her grandchildren. Mrs. Faircloth lived a life dedicated to faith and family.
