Dorothy Jordan “Dot” Wiggins, 79, of Thomasville Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2021. Born July 5, 1942, in Thomasville, Georgia, Dorothy was the beloved daughter of Virginia Griffin Jordan and John Eaforn Jordan. She attended public city schools in Thomasville and worked as a civilian at Robbins Air Force Base, at the Social Security Administration, and once back in Thomasville helped her husband downtown at The Shoe Box. After raising her children, Dorothy went to college and pursued a longtime dream of becoming a nurse and worked as an RN in the Emergency Room at Archbold Medical Center- a job she loved. Dorothy was married for 62 years to the love of her life, James D. Wiggins, Sr. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was also a strong Christian and lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Thomasville. Always the life of the party, Dorothy loved people and helping others. Her favorite group was her family and she loved gatherings- the larger the better. Those who knew her best knew that whether working, chaperoning youth trips, participating in mission trips, camping across the country, traveling with her husband, or just out with the girls, she never met a stranger. She embraced life and all people. Dorothy is survived by her husband, James D. Wiggins, Sr. of Thomasville and brother, J. Milton Jordan (Angie) of Albany; children, James D.
