Graveside services for Frank M. Brasington, 84, of Pavo, are at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010 in Pavo-Lebanon Cemetery. Rev. Thilmon Vonier will officiate. Mr. Brasington passed away Jan. 10 at his residence. Born, Oct. 16, 1925, in Live Oak, Fla., he was the son of the late Glen Allen and Hazel Rawson Brasington. On June 21, 1953, in Pavo, he married Virginia Sue Green Brasington, who survives. Mr. Brasington was a retired farmer and a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War. Other survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Marie Brasington and Tommy and Teaslea Brasington all of Pavo; daughter, Diane Brasington Moore of Auburn ; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Greg York of Pavo; grandchildren, Sonja Barlow and husband, Paul, Meghan Brasington, Travis Brasington, Allie Grace Brasington, Amanda Meeks and husband, Quentin and Crystal York; great-grandchildren, Shelby Barlow, Grayson Meeks and Kayle Meeks; brothers and sisters, Gene McLeod of Ocala, Fla., Richard Brasington of Ocala, Fla., Fay Brasington of Thomasville, Fern Morris of Sherman, Texas and Joe Brasington of St. Cloud, Fla. He was preceded in death by brothers, Waid Brasington and Jim Brasington; and a son-in-law, Bucky Moore.
