Memorial services for Louise Fleetwood, 85, of Thomasville, will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017 at First Newark Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Steve Brooks will officiate. A private interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Fleetwood passed away December 18, 2017. Born June 7, 1932 in Grady County, she was the daughter of Lummie Butler and Willie Mae Harris Butler. She was married for 60 years to J.C. Fleetwood, who survives. She was a manager at Georgia Woods. Mrs. Fleetwood was active in the Gideon Auxiliary, the Women’s Missionary Union, and she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was in the choir. Survivors include, sons, Jack and Shirley Strickland of Ochlocknee, Rick and Rose Strickland of Thomasville, and Dominick Strickland of Ochlocknee; daughter, Kathy and Neil Miller of Pelham; daughter- in-law, Donna Ross; grandchildren, James Strickland, Scott Strickland and wife Heather, Kaneil Daniel and husband Michael, Nelson Miller, Vicki O’Bright, Brenda Hughes and husband Grant, Chris Daniel, Danielle Strickland, and Tony Strickland and wife Lauren, brother, Eugene Butler of Thomasville, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Strickland; brother, Roy Butler, and sister, Odessa Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon’s Expressions, P.O.
