Lynn Sterling

Lynn Braswell Sterling passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the age of 62. She was born November 25, 1959, in Thomasville. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Scott Sterling, daughter Jennifer, and son-in-law Anthony, son Jeffrey, daughter Sarah, and son-in-law Ike, and daughter Emily. Lynn was an adoring grandmother to her seven grandchildren: Elliott, Vivian, Hughes, Sterling, Warner, Norah, and Hollis. She is also survived by her mother Judy, brother Paul and sister-in-law Susan, and sister Dina. She is predeceased by her father, James "Bubba" Braswell. Lynn was tirelessly dedicated to her family; a loving wife and mother who made raising her children her life's work, and later took great pride in showering her grandchildren with the same love and devotion. She was selfless and immensely generous; always eager to do a good deed for family, friends, or strangers alike, and never concerned with repayment or recognition. Lynn Sterling lived a full life in service of others, and the impact of her unwavering generosity will be felt for generations to come. The service will be held Wednesday, May 18 at 4 PM in the chapel at Allen and Allen. After the service, the family will gather at Lynn's home and will, as Lynn would love, welcome any friends who would like to drop by. In lieu of flowers, Lynn would be happy to know that deserving animals could find loving forever homes through donations to Miss Kitty's Feline Sanctuary and the Thomas County Humane Society.
