Margaret "Faye" Johnson Southerland

Services for Margaret “Faye” Johnson Southerland, 75 of Coolidge will be held at 11 AM, Friday, March 3, 2017 at Gatlin Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Don Prevatt and Rev. Mitch Conner will officiate and interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Southerland passed away February 28, 2017 at her residence. Born March 19, 1941 in Eastman, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late L M Johnson and Nellie Ruth Ussery Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert J. “Bobby Jack” Southerland. She was a member of Gatlin Creek Baptist Church and was retired from the Thomas County Department of Family and Children’s Services after over 30 years of service as a social worker. She is also survived by her children, Russ Southerland and wife, Lori of Dalton, Cassie Grubbs of Tallahassee, Florida and Amy Anderson and husband Ian of Crestview, Florida; grandchildren, Erin Grubbs, Taylor Grubbs, Bo Southerland, Ben Southerland, Bryce Southerland, Bethany Southerland, Asher Anderson, Eli Anderson, Abi Anderson, Hailey Anderson and Ruby Anderson and sister, Jackie Murphy of Coolidge. She was preceded in death by brothers, Ned Johnson and Jerry Johnson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gatlin Creek Baptist Church for World Hunger, PO Box 5815, Thomasville, Ga 31758. The family will receive friends 5-7pm, Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
