Margit "Maggie" Voorhies passed away Wednesday February 20, 2019 at Southern Pines. Born March 15, 1925 in Germany to the late Leo and Elizabeth Schreinemacher. Ms. Voorhies loved gardening and was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She is survived by Kathleen Herron (Russell) of Crawfordville, FL; grandchildren Rusty Herron (Kristen) of Crawfordville, FL and Kellie Ayers (Joshua) of Tallahassee, FL and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Lawrence Voorhies and son Ret. Col. Karl H. Lowe.
