Sarah Marguerite “Margie” Hough Williams, 94, of Thomasville passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Legacy Village at Plantation Manor. Graveside services will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Lee Waller officiating. Born March 6, 1926 to Thomas Nathaniel Hough and Willie Mae Moncrief Hough, Margie attended Thomasville High School. She married Julian Reid Williams on January 7, 1943 and set out to be the best wife and mother that she could possibly be. She had a servant’s heart, and spent her life well, loving others. She is survived by her oldest son, Julian Wayne Williams (Susan) of Irmo, SC and daughter, Teresa Williams Singletary (Mike) of Thomasville; grandchildren David Williams (Amanda) of Nashville TN, Shane Williams (Trisha) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Nathan Williams (Lindsey) of Phoenix AZ, Sarah Williams Of Douglasville GA, Reid Singletary (Bhavi) of Thomasville, Carson Singletary of Thomasville , Meg Singletary Bankston (Harry) of Thomasville and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Julian, and a son, Rodney Bruce Williams, siblings Christine Hough Sledge (David), Marcellene Hough Williams (Ken), and Oscar C. Hough.
