Funeral services for Paul Washington Dusty Connelly, Jr., 57, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel, with interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Connelly died July 22, 2007 at his residence. Born January 3, 1950, in Philadelphia, Penn., he was the son of the late Paul W. and Ethel Louise Darby Worthy Connelly, Sr. He was a 1969 graduate of Thomas County Central, where he was on the football team. His senior year of high school, he was awarded the ?Best Dressed? award, however he only owned three pairs of pants. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a Shriner, Mason, member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, and commander of DAV. Survivors include, 3 daughters; son, Chase Darby Connelly of Thomasville; four grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Emmitt Billy William and Brenda Connelly of Cairo; brother, Michael Carter Tipton of Cairo; sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda Shayne and Thomas Wood of Cathaleen; sister, Carol Worthy Fykes of Thomasville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Charles Fykes.
