Memorial service for Robert M. Glennon will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel with Rev. John Hobbs officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Cremation Garden. Robert M. Glennon, age 69, of Thomasville passed away on July 8, 2023, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was born June 30, 1954, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late James and Muriel MacDonald Glennon. He was a graduate of Clemson University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree of Science and Business Administration. He retired from JCPenney after 30 years and more recently worked for Kingdom Insurance. He was also a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church of Thomasville. Robert enjoyed hunting with his brothers and his passions were gardening and yard work. Survivors include his wife Barbara Westbrook Glennon of Thomasville; daughters Leighanne Smith (Bob) of Gray, Ga., and Bridget Still (Von) of Thomasville; grandchildren Hannah Smith (Tyler), Nathan Smith, Myla Still, Sarah Kate Still, Caroline Still, and Tucker Still; great-grandchildren Kohen and Hudson Harris; brothers Steve Glennon (Pat) of Valdosta, and Phil Glennon (Brenda) of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters-in-law Toy Glennon of Anderson, SC., and Carol Glennon of Virginia Beach, Va.; and loving dog Annie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Phillip M. Glennon, and brothers James Glennon and Jack Glennon. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Thursday, July 13, at Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel.
