Services for Shirley Lyn Gibson Dixon, 48, of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Dawson Street Baptist Church. Rev. Lee Waller and Rev. Melford Stanley will officiate. Shirley passed away January 31, 2017 at her residence. She was born July 9, 1968 in Thomasville. She is married to Chad Dixon, who survives. Shirley was a very active member of Dawson Street Baptist Church and was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Other survivors include daughters Emily Dixon and Melanie Wittman; son-in-law Jesse Wittman; grandchildren Casey, Charleigh and Adalyn Wittman; sister Sonia Johnson; brothers, Brian Gibson, Donald Ulrich and Rick Ulrich; parents Francis & Bobbie Gibson, Dotti Ulrich, and Twila Gibson, all of Thomasville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Courage Through Cancer Ministries, PO Box 4067, Tallahassee, Florida 32315-4067 ( www.couragethroughcancer.com ). The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Friday, February 3, 2017 at the funeral home.
