Graveside services for A. Louise Gunter Shiver 83, of Leesburg, formerly of Thomasville, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 23, 2007 in Laurel Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Gene Vinson will officiate. Mrs. Shiver died June 21, 2007 at Triad Nursing Home. Born February 24, 1924, in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Willie Smith Gunter. She was married to Aubrey Shiver, who preceded her in death on September 27, 1996. Mrs. Shiver was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include son, Julian Shiver of Leesburg; sisters, Dean Bertschy, Dot Walker and Rebecca Roberds all of Thomasville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
