Graveside services for Adam Eugene Mathews, 66, o f Ochlocknee are at 11:00 AM, Monday December 5, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pastor Ken Burgess Pastor Mike Hearrell will officiate. Mr. Mathews died on December 1, 2011. Born May 25, 1945 in Tampa, Fl, he was the son of the late Frank and Lydia Mathews. Mr. Mathews served in the US Army and was also retired from Torrington Co in Cairo as a machinist. Mr. Mathews was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Thomasville. Mr. Mathews was married on March 10, 1968 in Thomas County to Linda Warren, who survives. Other survivors include a son and daughter in law, Alan Mathews and Prisilla of Ochlocknee; and grandchildren, Anslee and Seth Mathews; brother, Jimmy Mathews; brothers and sister in laws, Ronnie and Lyndal Mathews, Stan and June Mathews; sisters and brother in laws; Julie and Jack Sealey, Ann and Leon Whatley, Wilma and Benny Tedder, Martha and Gary Baldwin, Marcelle and Ricky Dixon. Mr. Mathews was preceded in death by sister Allene Collins and sister in law Shirley Mathews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM till 4:00PM at the funeral home.
