Services for Alan Spires Davis, 49, of Thomasville will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will be in Clayton Cemetery in Clayton Alabama at 2:00 pm central time. Mr. Davis passed away July 13, 2010 at Archbold Hospital. Born November 4, 1960 in Cuthbert, Ga, he was the son of the late Harvey Young Davis and Alice Spires Davis who survives. He was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church and had worked for Winn Dixie for many years in customer service. Other survivors include aunt & uncle, Price & Mary Spires of South Carolina; nieces Amy Connelly and Dinah Jo Evans, both of Thomasville; nephew James Jay Singletary of Destin, Fl.; and 8 great nieces and nephews.
