Alan Young

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harris Alan Young, 75, a beloved husband, father, and brother, who passed away at his home on June 20, 2024. A visitation will be held at Allen & Allen Funeral Home's Celebration of Life Chapel on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 5-7 pm. Alan was born on August 25, 1948, in Beaufort, South Carolina to the late Harris Manuel and Vera Ann Young Kearney. He was the proud owner of Young's Communications, where he excelled in sales and built lasting relationships with his clients.

Alan had a passion for slot car racing and was known as "the blur'. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and tending to his yard. He cherished his fur babies and found joy in their companionship.

Alan will be dearly missed by his loving spouse, Linda Young, and their children, Candy Fonte (Mike) of Beaufort, Tommy Young (Shannon) of Midland, Tx., Billy Young of Beaufort, Patty Davis (Vic) of Thomasville, and Alan Young (Melissa) of Dublin, Ga. Alan was a doting grandfather to Jamie, Justin, Cole, Landon, Ashton, Bailey, Macey, Joey, Megan, and Ryker and delighted in the presence of his numerous great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings, Pam Miner of Beaufort and Richard Kearney of Nashville, Tn.
