Albert Franklin Bufford, Sr.

Funeral services for Albert Franklin Bufford, Sr. , 68, of Pelham will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, September 10, 2004 at Braswell Funeral Home. The Rev. Roy Hicks and Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner will officiate and interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Rory Nesmith, Robby Willis, Chris Welch, Ronnie McMurphy, Irvin Murphy, Scottie Murphy, Harold McMurphy, and Matthew Free. Mr. Bufford died September 8, 2004 at his residence. Born September 1, 1936 in Thomas County he was the son of the late Effie Alberta Hasty and Walter Thomas Bufford. He was married to Patricia Welch Bufford of Pelham who survives. HE was a member of Union Grove Bapitst Church and a truck driver. Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Wallace and Sharon Bufford of Pelham, Albert Jr. and Kris Bufford all of Pelham, a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Marty Russell of Pelham and a daughter, Lynn Burgess of Pelham; a brother, Clayton Murphy of Moultrie, sisters, Jeraldean Kilgore of Moultrie, Lousie McMurphy of Pelham, and Lucille Kilgore of Pikeville, Tn. He was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and one sister.
