Funeral services for Alene Joy Dekle will be Monday, April 25, 2004 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Dan Spencer and Rev. Dr. Milton Gardner officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Dekle died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Presbyterian Home in Quitman. Born April 10, 1920, in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late Dalton Clark and Mamie Owens Clark. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church and was a member of the Young At Heart Choir. Mrs. Dekle was married to Albert Roscoe Dekle Jr. who survives. Other survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Judy Dekle and Rodney Jackson of Thomasville, grandchildren and spouse Kyle Herndon and Lynn of Lake Park, Ga., Holli Herndon Stevens and Bryan of Jesup, Ga.; great grandchildren Nichols Herndon, Matthew Herndon, Alyssa Stevens; twin sister Agnes Clark Johnston of Thomasville; nieces Sandra Wright, Floye McMath, Glenda May, Shirley Gandy, Marcell Hendon; nephews Ramsey Clark, Steve Clark, Jimmy Clark, Billy Gandy, Rudolph Allen, Elmer Allen, Max Allen. She was preceded in death by her son Ted Clark Dekle, brothers Harold Clark, Jeff Clark; sisters Effie Clark Cox, Tessie Clark Gandy; grandson Brad Herndon.
Memorials may be made to the Gideons International at 214 S. Broad St. Thomasville, Ga. 31792. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 at the funeral home. Guest may sign the online register book at www.allenfh.com .
