Alex C. Ellis

Funeral services for Alex C. Ellis, 99, of Thomasville will be Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00AM at Thomasville Primitive Baptist Church. Elder Terry Barnard will officiate and internment will be at 3:30 PM at Riverside Cemetery in Albany. Mr. Ellis died on December 25, 2012. Born October 22, 1913 in Borne, MA, he was the son of the late George and Grace Collison Ellis. He was married for almost 50 years to the late Albia Grace Ellis, and then to Cecilia Ellis, who also preceded him in death. Mr. Ellis retired as service manager for McGhee Motors in Miami, FL and was a member of Thomasville Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He is survived by his brother in law Dr. Ben Grace of Thomasville and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the Church on Friday. Everyone attending the service is invited to lunch at the Church following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Thomasville Primitive Baptist Church, 510 N.
