Funeral services for Alex ?Al? Roy Suarez, Sr., 60, of Boston will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 2:00PM at Boston Baptist Church. Thomasville Police Chief Ellis Jackson and Sheriff Carlton Powell will officiate and interment will be in Boston City Cemetery. Mr. Suarez died friday at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was employed by the Boston City Police where he was Chief of Police for 15 years and was currently Assistant Chief and was a member of the Georgia Association of Police Chiefs. Mr. Suarez was born June 16, 1946 in Louisiana. On August 15, 1997 he married Robin Lynn Johnson who survives. Other survivors include sons, Alex Roy Suarez, Jr. of Thomasville; Fredrick Lee Suarez and Mary of Beaumont, TX; Christopher Robin Suarez of Boston and Matthew Shane Suarez of Boston. Other survivors include a sister, Ramona Chavonne of Beaumont, TX; a brother, Robert Suarez of Marshall, TX; a brother, Allen Suarez of TX and a brother, Larry Suarez of TX. Mr Suarez was preceded in death by a brother Lee Flores. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to the Georgia Association Chiefs of Police Foundation, 3500 Duluth Park Lane, Suite 700, Duluth, Ga 30096 or Commercial Bank of Boston, 124 W.
