Alexis Christopher Joffe'

A memorial service for Alexis Christopher Joffe', 58, will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Thomasville, GA, at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 30th, 2010, the Reverend Stan Christian officiating. In accord with US Navy tradition, Al's ashes will be scattered at sea. Mr. Joffe' passed away at his home on May 27, 2010 after a brave battle with cancer. He was a private contractor for the Thomasville Times Enterprise, and was retired from the US Navy, where he served as a Corpsman on the USS Forrestal, and other vessels. "Big Al" is survived by his wife, Suzanne Essex-Joffe' of Thomasville, his daughter, Jessi Banis and her husband Tom Banis of Crown Point, Indiana, a brother, Anthony Joffe' and wife Judy Joffe' of Boca Raton, FL, as well as 4 nephews, Christopher, Philip, Carter, and Douglas and their families. He is also survived by his 4 legged children, Skeezicks Joffe' and Angela Portafina, of Thomasville. In lieu of flowers, please send any memorial donations to the Veterans Administration Medical Hospital in Gainesville, FL.
