Alfred A. Mckibben

Funeral services for Alfred A. McKibben of Thomasville are at 3:00PM on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at Salem Baptist Church in Pavo. The Rev Joe Dunn will officiate and interment will be at Salem Cemetery. Mr. McKibben died August 9, 2005 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. Born December 15, 1929 in Pavo, Ga, he was the son of the late A.L. & Nannie Mae Williams McKibben. On January 15, 1954 he married Bettie Pafford McKibben who preceded him in death. Mr. McKibben was a United States Army veteran and was a retired truck driver from Sunnyland. Other survivors include daughters and son-in-laws Patty & Robert Simmons of Moultrie and Kim & Derek Evans of Thomasville, son Buddy McKibben of Pavo; sisters Sallie Mae Chadwick of Bridgeboro, Ga, Wynelle Christenson of Athol, SD, Myrtle Lee Futch of Jacksonville, Fl, Mildred Prossor of St.Louis, MO, and brother W.L. McKibben of Fayetteville, N.C.; grandchildren Nicole Simmons, Daniel Simmons, Matt Huffman, Brice Evans and mother-in-law, Katie Pafford of Boston.
