Alfred Raymond Shipley

Funeral services for Alfred Raymond Shipley, 78, of Pavo will be at Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church, where he was a member. Rev. John Grebeta will officiate and internment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Shipley died on October 9, 2010. Born, July 21, 1932 in Bloomington, IN, he was the son of the late Ray and Dorothy Bell Baxter Shipley. On August 26, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN, he married Marjorie Lee Lucas Shipley, who survives. Mr. Shipley was a glazier and business owner of several companies the last being Custom Glazing Solutions. He loved farming and taking care of his cows. Other survivors include a daughter and son in law, Pamela Sue and Rick Duvall of Indianapolis, IN and Kevin Ray and Lori Shipley of Pavo, GA; grandchildren Jennifer Baldwin, John Lucas Denhart, Raymond Duvall and Justin Tyler Shipley; great grandchildren, Margaret Cravens Baldwin, Gabriel James Wells, Samantha Denhart, Allen Denhart, Aaron Denhart, Trevor Duvall, Austin Duvall, Trayson Duvall, Alexis Duvall, Ashley Stanteiski, Amanda Bosarge, and Allissa Wilson. Also surviving are a brother, William E. Shipley of Ocala, FL and a sister Helena Womack of Thomasville. Mr. Shipley was preceded in death by a daughter Sheila Ray Shipley.
