Services for Alfred Lewis Swords, 85 of Norman Park will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Allen & Allen Life Celebration Chapel. Rev. Gary Holland will officiate. Mr. Swords passed away May 23, 2021 at Magnolia Manor in Moultrie. Born June 2, 1935 in Norman Park, he was the son of the late George Arthur Swords and Delma Martin Swords. He was married to Shirley Brown Swords, who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Swords retired as a supervisor from Coats & Clarks and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was always active in the churches he attended, many times serving as deacon and Sunday school director. He is survived by son, Billy Swords and wife Brenda of Norman Park; daughter, Kathy Swords of Thomasville; grandchildren, Brian & Amber Swords, Tiffany & Ryan Hurst, Kevin & Skylar Swords, Brandon Swords and Caitlyn & Jeremy Hatcher; several great-grandchildren; brothers, George Swords and Bow Swords. He was preceded in death by daughter, Delma Marie Swords; son, Michael Swords: sister, Margaret Bynum and brother, Harry Lee Swords.
