Funeral services for Alice Spires Davis of Thomasville will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday October 20, 2015 in the chapel of Allen & Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Waller officiating. Interment will be in Clayton Cemetery in Clayton, Alabama. Mrs. Davis died Friday October 16, 2015 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born in Clayton, Alabama she was the daughter of the late Joel Walter Spires and Leah Alice Price Spires. After the death of her mother at a young age, she was raised by Aaron Spires and Rosa Mae Spires. Mrs. Davis was retired from Southern Bell as an Operator and was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church. She was married to Harvey Y. Davis who preceded her in death. Survivors include her granddaughter Amy Connelly of Thomasville; grandson James Jay Singletary of Destin, Fl and many great and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sons Alan Spires Davis and James Harvey Davis and her granddaughter Dinah Jo Evans. Guest may sign the online register book at www.allenfh.com .
