Alice Imogene Mason

Graveside services for Alice Imogene Mason of Thomasville are at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Kentucky Street. The Rev. Bob Dixon, the Rev. Waymon Cleveland and the Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor will officiate. Mrs. Mason died Monday, March 21, 2005 at Archbold Hospital. Born December 26, 1913 in Summertown, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Lawson Lott & Victoria Edenfield Bishop. She was married to the late Maxwell E. Mason on October 1, 1937 in Aikin, S.C. Mrs. Mason was a homemaker and a long time member of First United Methodist Church and was a member of the Sue McTier Sunday school class. Survivors include daughter, Julie Mason of Thomasville; grandchildren, Tina Peters of Batesville, Ark, Joel Meeks of Yort, S.C., Julie Meeks of Woodruff, S.C., Tyler Meeks of Thomasville and Amy Yu of Thomasville; and great grandchildren, Hannah, Caitlin, Madeline of Batesville, Ark., Ally of York, S.C. and Mason of Thomasville. She is preceded in death by daughter, Maxine Mason Meeks; son, Max Gordon Mason; sisters, Ruth Bishop Richardson, Sammie Bishop Jernigan and Lawsie Bishop Wyatt and brothers; Edenfield Lamar Bishop and Walstein Lawson Bishop.
