Funeral services for Alice Mae Moncrief NeSmith, 79, of Thomasville will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday September 10, 2013 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Carlton Bassett will officiate and internment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. NeSmith died on September 7, 2013 in Thomasville. Born May 23, 1934 in Grady Co., GA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Roberson and Mary Lillian Hough Moncrief. She was married on May 9, 1954 to Vernon Harold NeSmith, who preceded her in death. Mrs. NeSmith retied from Southwestern State and was a member of Pineland Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 sons and daughters in law, Vernon Clay and Kim NeSmith of Myrtle Beach, SC, Dennis Scott and Suzanne NeSmith of Molena, GA and Mark Asa and Melany NeSmith of Thomasville. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jason Mark and Meredith NeSmith, Carrie Allison and Nathan Moseley, Matthew Scott NeSmith and Alyssa NeSmith, Andrew Dennis NeSmith and Clayton Cole NeSmith and great grandchildren Allison NeSmith, Lillian NeSmith, Mark NeSmith, Abigail NeSmith and Jacob Moseley. Also surviving are a brother Terry Moncrief of Thomasville and a sister, Virginia Hicks of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by sisters, Beulah Wells, Blanche Elloitt, Jeanette Sanders and a brother Jeff Moncrief.
