Honoring The Memory Of A Resilient And Loving Single Parent Of Three Alma "Jean" Sasser Beavans peacefully passed away in Cairo, Georgia, on April 20, 2026. She was born April 14, 1934, to Marvin George Sasser and Alma Walden Sasser. Jean graduated from Whigham High School and furthered her education at Andrew College. She had the resilience and love of a strong single parent, being a mother of three, and she embraced life with a positive spirit. Despite her challenges, she exuded incredible strength and love as a dedicated single parent raising three children. Her legacy will forever be remembered.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 3 pm at Sasser Cemetery in Whigham, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 975 Providence Rd. Whigham, GA 39897 or The Cancer Society.
