A service for Alma Ruth Mitchell will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 4 pm at First Freewill Baptist Church. Alma Ruth Kincaid, 70, of Cairo, passed away on December 1, 2024. Alma was born on July 6, 1954, in Cairo to the late Charles and Ruby Lee Mitchell.
In her earlier years, Alma was a graduate of Cairo High School. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Cairo. Alma loved her dogs Maggie May, Buddy, and Scrappy. In her free time, she loved playing the Farmville game. She loved her family very much and will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
Survivors include sons Angelique Noire and Eric Merritt (Jessica), daughter Christina Madden (Justin), grandchildren Kalib Merritt (Kaleb), Devin Allen (Caitlyn), Elaina Merritt, Blake Merritt (Elly), Alex Merritt, Mariah Reeve, and Rose Mathis (William), great-grandchildren Kohen Davis, Jutson Merritt, Jami Kate Merritt, Harrison Allen, Jason Mathis, and Tia Mathis, brothers Eric Mitchell, Ralph Mitchell (Angela), and Charles Mitchell, and sisters Barbara Rash, Maxine Jarvis, and Meddie Baggett (Steve).
Alma is preceded in death by her niece Lynn Enfinger and multiple brothers and sisters.
